Sunday morning preview
We get it. It can be scary to show up at a new place full of strangers. But, honestly, this is Fairbanks Alaska. There’s a very good chance that you’ll find a friend here.
Still, perhaps you’d like to know what to expect. We start arriving around 10 am each Sunday for coffee and fellowship in the Cafe. Nursery for ages two and under is available from 10:30 until the end of the service. At 10:30 we are called into the worship center by the worship team’s opening song. Our musical style is contemporary with a sprinkling of classic hymns. After a few songs, we have announcements, corporate prayer and a message of about 20 minutes by Stan VanAmburg, our pastor (pictured at right). Children are always welcome in our services and activity/coloring sheets are available for them. Preschool, aged 3-5 have class each week while Elementary aged children, 6-11, have class on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weeks of the month. Both age groups start with their family in the sanctuary and then are released before the sermon We end each service with the Blessing Song based on Numbers 6:24-25:
